Worship at the beginning 35 to 45 minutes. Often a song or two at the end during altar call / ministry time/end of service worship. All contemporary.

If we had a bookstore, maybe. Since we don't, "I want you to learn this song" is our only motivation

And we don't introduce new material all that often.

I have been following this forum for a couple of months and was waiting to make my first post until AFTER I had my first Praise and Worship set. This morning was the first time as a bassist for our churches praise and worship group. I have studied music for quite a while however picked up the bass this past November.

Out of all the various performances with different instruments, I must say this was the most fun I have had on stage (I am sure it was the reason of Praise that it was so much fun). I felt confident, relaxed, and really jived with the rest of the group on stage (I have been on the sound board for a few months).

I am looking forward to continuing to follow this thread and learn from other bassist on this site.

The pastor called for one of those extended prayer sessions today. So there we went with another improve. That lesson from Mr. Wooten, "you are only a half step away from a good note" was once again applied to save me. I got the best compliments, our pro music director wants me turned up in his mix so he can play off of me and the wife said she don't know what I did but she liked it.

Congrats and welcome in. Good to have another sound guy in the "mix" to give your perspective on things. The praise will definitely make your experience more fun. Very rewarding and renewing.
