Okay, first of all, sorry if this was posted before, I did a search and found nothing on it...
This video is the John Mayer Trio, but the camera is ONLY on Pino and gets great shots of him doing his thing, great technique and tone he has, especially the second half of the clip! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pm7l7XfV_Pg
This video may not be as "interesting" to other people, but since this is a BASS message board, I felt it would be a great view!

the bass player looks like hes great, but i have an odd suspicion that a guitar player was the soundman that night.. wich is why it only LOOKS like hes good.. |

This guy should have his own drive-though window because his lines are SO TASTY!
I love everything about this clip, right down to the Men In Black suit and tie.
Great primer on how a three-piece can fill 'er up!
I had never seen this, but I want to see the rest now. Thanks for sharing. |

he is pretty spectacular. | All I can say is, you must not have a sub with your PC's speakers, 'cause I hear tons of amazing bass when I watch this clip! Remember, Pino's sound these days is fairly dark and deep, so it helps to have a speakers system or headphones that will put out a lot of low end...
Great clip!
Mike

Yeah, such a jerk. Lemme tell ya.
How do I know he's not a jerk? I was there, and met him too. Had to buy lunch after I made the bet it wasn't JM. Sorry, but the friend of a friend thing lends no credibility to your statement.
And Pino only looks like he's good? He's taken over for the Ox for crying out loud. The classic "I'm sure he's forgotten more that I know" applies here.

Thanks for posting. |

I don't understand how Mayer can be so tasty in his trio, and just suck out loud when ever I hear a "hit" on the radio |
