My teacher has a signature bass which he doesn't use that much himself..sometimes it's just about the money you know Altough i can't imagine how much Fender would have to pay to get the prince endorsment..it's not like Prince has a hard time earning his daily bread i thik.

I also have the Rave 2000 dvd and he does toss the Warwick across the stage where it landed like he tossed it to a pile of junk!
It even bounced before it landed!
Never seen him toss a jazz bass either!

Nice clip. Prince is freakishly talented; he can play any instrument like a fulll time specialist plus he writes sings and performs among the best of all time. It's just fun to see him on bass for a change.

Anytime I've seen him recently he's been playing that thumb. It's white with a print of an eye on the front, if you can't see.

Hey, if Prince doesn't want those Thumbs, I'll take 'em. Even if they are a bit dinged up.

at one point or another prince has played about every bass out there hehe. Many of his instruments are custom made or obscure too.

Because it is an all white Warwick! Nothing is as sexy as an all white bass. Larry Graham knew what he was doing with the white basses.

well im a huge prince fan, got the alladin dvd too, and theres a shot of an ESP jazz bass on there too ive seen him use...but ive read countless interviews with him and his bass players that he'll always come back to the 70's fender and as rhonda smith says "its his tone, theres nothing else for him".....

thats why rhondas not playing laklands anymore and she's using the jazz's with prince....

but prince sounding like larry?, princes music is heavily influencd by GCS and Sly Stone....where else can he cop those grooves

i wouldnt say prince is a guitarist/vocalist/bassist...he's just an overall freakish musician, you cant classify him to a seperate instrument, he's THE musician, nothing less

I'm not a prince fan, not my style, but no matter how I feel I can't help but be impressed with his talent. That guy can PLAY, both Guitar and Bass.
I'll bet he can really care less what I think of his wardrobe.
