Nice.. but he is one funky dude on anything.... This guy could be playing a bucket and funk it out something fierce .... I like that little tribute to Graham he did there.. (the bassline from "Thank You for Talkin' to Me Africa" from the album "There's a Riot Going On"...

knowing that he can do stuff like that really increases my respect for his bass players--knowing that your boss can do that really sets the bar high!

Saw Prince this past summer and he did some jamming on bass then too. The venue was small by Prince standards and you could see on his face that he was just having a great time. One of the funkiest and best shows I've ever seen.

Prince knows how to tear it up on pretty much anything he plays.

I still can't wrap my head around the fact that some TB'ers say Prince can't play!

kid can play..

I couldn't catch who was drumming.... he was the one carrying the solo.

I'm sure he's got a great life being surrounded by such high caliber players...

Learned something --- I'm adding delay and distortion to my solos.

Interesting how, even when he's wanking an extended slap solo, his note choices still sound like Prince. What a unique guy.
