I play in a punkrock group and use a fingerstyle as well.

Joe from RKL, the guy from Unwritten Law, Jesse from Lagwagon, Mike from MxPx used to play with his fingers back in the day, the guy from No Use For a Name/Face to Face, the guy from Sublime.
It also depends on your definition of "punk", which whatever it is; it's valid.

As for fingerstyle bassists, how bout...
Chuck Dukowski and Kira Roessler, both of Black Flag, played fingerstyle at least most of the time.
And yes, to confirm, Mike Watt played fingerstyle with the Minutemen starting with 'Double Nickels' and never looked back. Played with a pick prior to that. |
