I don't know if we even have one
But, if we do Mods delete this.
If not lets begin the fun to join you need to do 3 simple things
1. Say your in (Or along that nature)
2. State which punk band/bands is/are your favorite
Finally
3. State your playing refrence (Pick or fingers or both)
My idea for a club so I'll go to #2
My favorite punk bands are The Misfits, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, Less Than Jake, Dropkick Murphys, Fear, Alkaline Trio, The Buzzcocks, and The Dead Pawns (<--- also a member but, was a fan first)
Finally i play almost exclusively with a pick

| | | | I know The Misfits play Punk, but I always thought they were more of a Metal band.
Cliff Burton was a huge fan of The Misfits, so were James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett.

| | | | IN!
I'm a bit old now to play in a punk band, but I did in the mid 70's (Sex Gang Children). I lived in London in the 70's, and got to know some of the bands. My favs were the Pistols (of course), Buzzcocks, The Damned, and The Slits. There were some more, but they were pretty much local, so you probably have never heard of them. Thanks for keeping punk alive!!!! P.S. I played with a pick.....still do!

I tend to stick to the heavier side (crust/powerviolence) or the extreme opposite (power-pop). Which is why i play in a power-pop band while wearing Catharsis and His Hero Is Gone shirts...
Lousy recordings!!! http://www.myspace.com/thefirecrackersusa
Also... totally going to see The Queers tonight. Back in high school i asked a girl out during their song, "yummy yummy punk rock girls". During their chorus, i was all, "So, do you wanna be MY punk rock girl". Oh yeah... awesome. The next night we went to a Pg99 show. Those were the dayyyys.

Cliff Burton was a huge fan of The Misfits, so were James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett. | god, i would hate to play in a metal* band influenced only by other metal* bands.
*replace with any other genre of music.

I'm mainly a two-fingered man but occasionally utilize a pick, and occasionally do flea style slap bass just cause every-one is anal about both of the later.
I don't give a F&&^* though and would happily just do two fingers. Tend to play more grunge/metal styles with my current band, but would like to start a more punk orientated band. Am also the founder of the sXe straight-edge bassist club so thought I better sign up for this one.
