Ok, this really might help.

Left hand:
Put your index finger over the D and G string @ the 9th fret and leave it there.
Just move the middle finger around to play the notes @ the 10th fret.

Right hand:
Use "raking".
For example, when the lick starts on the G string, and you start on the index finger, pluck the D string with the same motion instead of using stright alternate picking for each note.

All this is aimed at minimizing finger movement.
Less excess movement -> more speed or being more relaxed at a given tempo.
