Quick Question About The Who

Managed to get tickets to The Who in Dublin this Friday..... went a searching for who's playing bass with them now (not being an avid follower!!But love them enough to go!!

). Any idea who's playing bass with them now?

Pino Palladino. I watched The Who at Glastonbury on telly last night, and Pino tore it up - he nailed all the classic lines, with a few embellishments of his own (he does his own thing in a couple of the bars of the My Generation solo, for instance).

That was a quality performance wasn't it. Knackered for work today as stayed up late watching it

I saw them last night - they were good but they showed basically nothing of Pino on the screens by the stage and the cokeheads in front of me were jumping up and down too much for me to get a decent view of the stage for most of it.

Pino didn't get too much coverage on the television but by jingo you could hear him!!!

its Pino Pallidino. i saw them on the 29th of September. it was a very good show. DEFINETLY get the DVD and CD of the concert. its well-worth it.

Pino - playing one of his Fender Custom Shop signature P-Basses - the man is a BASS LEGEND!!!!!!!!

I first saw him on New Years Eve 1981 when he was playing bass for Jppls Holland and The Millionaires (supporting The Police in Ingliston, Edinburgh, Scotland). I saw him and it was one of those life changing gigs, where I left thinking "I have to become a better bass player" - he simply shook my whole idea of what bass was all about, or what the instrument was capable of - and the fascination with his playing has never left me since.

I saw them a couple months ago in Indianapolis and they were amazing. Pino was playing a Fender Jaguar bass the whole show and nailed everything. He is one of my favorite bassists and thats part of the reason I went to the show. Daltrey was suffereing from some throat/voice issues but you couldnt tell he sounded top notch. After the show I went to they postponed the next week or so because of DAltrey getting sick.

Just sticking my head in to say The Who in Dublin last Friday were awesome!! *jaw drop*

That's one more thing ticked off my "things to do" list!!

And the use of one bass all the way through was cool, and guitar only got changed between acoustic and (the same) electric was a welcome relief from a few bands I've seen who seem to change their instruments after almost every song (sorry, little pet hate of mine!!!)
