R.I.P. Derf Scratch

Just found out that Derf Scratch, the original bass player from Fear died last week. "The Record" is one of my favourite punk records ever, not to mention that I learned a little something about how to creatively bait and cuss out an unruly audience... Sad stuff indeed. This is shaping up to be a bad year for musicians I like...

They were one of the most entertaining parts of Decline of Western Civilization, and The Record had some pretty interesting songs mixed in with all the misanthropy and riffing. It's a shame he's passed, he couldn't have been any older than his mid-50s at this point. RIP, Derf.
