Ramones bass

I wana hear deedee ramone's bass and basslines. does anyone know any ramones songs where the bass really cuts through or has a verse or something that has no guitars in it?

he doesn't really have "basslines"

he basically just follows the guitar, in everysong.

The Ramones (at least on their early albums) mixed the guitar and bass on separate channels-the right channel is guitar, drum & vox and the left channel is bass, drums & vox.

Put on the Ramones, pan your stereo (or computer) speakers all the way to the left, and go from there. As Bob said, they're not too complicated, but good for beginners. After the Ramones, check out the Clash basslines, a little more complicated, but a lot of fun to play.

the cover TAke it as it comes , a The doors song , has a pretty fun bass line in the middle.

Go with the first self-titled cd...RAMONES...Bass is panned hard left, guitar hard right, drums and vocals at 12 o'clock. Perfect and the blueprint for all punk bands from then on!!!

You can't really say he "followed" the guitar.. more often Johnny was following him, as Dee Dee was by far the band's most prolific songwriter and Johnny the least. If you watch the concert on the Ramones Raw DVD, you'll notice the differences between his chords and Johnny's, as well as the subtle rhythmic variations.
