Thumbs up Recent YES / ASIA show!

Caught last weeks NorCal appearance by Yes and Asis. What a treat! Asia was much more interesting than I anticipated. John Wetton, while somewhat impeded by some hand problems and has a pick taped to his thumb, had tone for days and was in great voice. They also covered some King Crimson, ELP and Bugles as a bonus.
Squire came out with Yes and it was a prog rock bass master class. I stood stage left approx 25 feet from of his Marshall / Ampeg rig and it was tone heaven. As these guys are all "long in the tooth" I would say if you get the chance check out this tour! There may not be too many more chances to see such masters in action.

Yep, saw them, too! I had forgotten most of the Asia tunes, except for "Heat of the Moment". Wetton had a good tone but I thought both Wetton and Howe were having hand problems since I saw Howe shaking his hands, trying to keep his fingers warm. Probably should have had the hand warmers that the NFL guys use.
I was trying figure what Squire had on top of the Ampeg cabinet; I thought they were monitors but you probably had a better view of what he was using. Sounded great nonetheless.

Saw them at Bass Hall in Fort Worth last night. Agree with everything you said.
