You won't find much footage of the RHCP in their earliest days with Jack Sherman and Cliff Martinez on guitar and drums. Mostly because of Sherman not being in the band that long before he was fired because of the guys wanting Hillel Slovak back in the band.

But footage of that rare line up DOES exist and it also shows what a killer slapper Flea was in those days.

The very first TV performance, what comes across here is how awkward Sherman was during this performance, but then again, how on earth can one match Flea and Anthony?

Very cool. The main thing that became apparent to me in those videos, is how much Anthony has improved as a vocalist.

I'm really diggin the new album.

I remember seeing this very episode- the first time I'd hear of the peppers. Alan Thicke(the host dork) ALWAYS had this kind of *I'm so much cooler than you* sneer when introducing the bands on his show. HAHAHAHA, I say.
