I dig Tony as a player and as a person from the music I've heard and interviews I've read.
However:
I bought "Double Espresso" a live double CD from his band last year just to see what he's been up to; I listened to it twice; boring instrumental half fusion/quarter world music/some rock covers...eh...
Not impressed/musically swayed.

I also have "double espresso" - I think it rocks! Fantastic and tasteful music.

Yeh...Tony Levin!

I always try to listen to anything that has Tony Levin playing. Although, technically a great player, he has never tried to impressed with speed and dexterity but with creativity and his unique style/sound.

He has done some Pink Floyd also!

I saw them at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, which is a very intimate setting. The Tony Levin Band puts on one of the best shows I've ever seen! It just 5 guys have a great time not only playing, but interacting with the audience as well. I'd gladly pay to see them again.
