While their names may not be known to us, on September 11th, 2001, and in the days that have followed as we continue to defend our freedom, let all of us here remember and honor our bass brethren who have sacrificed for us and honor those who were taken from us on this day a decade ago.

I did a benefit show in New York on the Aircraft Carrier Intrepid to raise money for the victims and their families. It was held on the second anniversay of the attacks. It was very humbling especially after meeting some of the family members and emergency responders. My wife's grandfather was a Boston firefighter who died in the line of duty so the entire experience really hit home.
