replace my USA Jazz pickups?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a USA Jazz (S-1 switch). A buddy is telling me to switch to Bartolini pickups. I mainly play classic rock. Is it worth the effort? What type of difference in sound should i expect?

nuthin wrong with the fender PU,s . dont know that you would gain all that much. I have Barts in other basses and like them alot too.

Bartolini pickups are nice. As are any number of different replacement pickups. I used to play a mia jazz and the stock Fender pickups were fine, I loved the way it sounded. I would never have changed them.

Your bass will lose resale value if you mod it because it is a Fender.
