Does anyone here know what the good Reverend is up to ? He is from Ronald Shannon Jackson's 80's line up and played much with Vernon Reid. Great fretless player.

No idea what he's doing now, but +1 for his work with Decoding Society. The Two Bass Hit of Rev. Bruce Johnson & Melvin Gibbs was some serious bowel-cleansing!

Great! RSJ's site was dead for quite awhile.

I really love the harmolodic bent of Decoding Society with horns and two basses.

RSJ is also on Youtube actively posting things in the last few days. I think I'm going to buy some stuff I'm missing! Never been able to find Eye On You or Decode Yourself on CD.

About Time Records' website still says "All of our other recordings are available on LP and scheduled for reissue on CD."

I emailed them 10 years ago & asked when Eye On You would be available on CD. Their response was "shortly"
...10 years ago. Still hasn't happened as far as I can tell.

I'd rather buy it right from RSJ himself off the website. At least the $ would go straight to him! Most everything I own except for the Knitting Factory releases I got used. I owe the man!
