Not the season (yet) - but, this blew me away... totally (and no bass!)
BTW: Richard Page = Bass Player/Lead Vocalist of Mr Mister (also with my favorite band, Pages, as lead vocalist - solo artist, 3rd Matinee, songwriter extraordinaire, etc.) http://www.richardpagemusic.com/webp...hrist_lrg.html

I'm a Mr. Mister fan, and I just recently picked up (finally!) that 3rd Matinee album, which is incredible. Richard's voice just works in so many settings. Side note: I picked up the Toy Matinee album when it came out in '91 and it is one of my favorite albums of all time. |

(late 70s stuff) I haven't heard Toy Matinee, but RP isn't listed - or I would have.

I have a couple Pages records but haven't heard them in a LONG time as I don't have a turntable up. As I recall though, they were a bit progressive for the time, kind of like a taste of Steely Dan meets Doobies. The difference between Toy and 3rd matinee is large. Both great but quite different. 3rd was a much prettier, less dark record. Kevin Gilbert was a lot darker writer ,brilliant, and a GREAT singer as well. Grab Toy Matinee if you see it, it's cool to see the difference. |

Toy Matinee doesn't have RP on it. That's Patrick Leonard and the late Kevin Gilbert. After Kevin passed, RP worked with PL on the 3rd Matinee stuff. Check out Toy Matinee anyway -- you'll really like it. |
