What do guys think of Ricky Minor as MD for The Tonight Show?
It's interesting to see him become a sidekick for Jay Leno.
His playing is solid. I know Roger Sadowsky must be tickled to have two late night shows featuring his basses.

I have a buddy who met him when he tried out on drums for one of the AI's top finishers and said he was super cool, laid back, but he didn't get to spend much time with him due to multiple projects he had going on all at one time. |

The bass is real prominent in the mix and the times I've seen so far Ricky is killin. He's still getting use to being the comic sidekick but Kevin wasn't exactly Eddie Murphy when he started either.

Might be one of the reasons Branford gave it up.

| | | | From strictly a musical perspective, I like the new Tonight Show band much better than with Kevin & Co. They were so one dimensional, played the same 6 songs all the time, the girl singer/percussionist was not a good singer, and I never liked Kevin's playing. Although I did like Smitty's drumming. The new band seems to be much more well rounded with a more versatile sound and top notch players and singers. |

Roger must be very pleased indeed! Ricky is front and center where as Will Lee is very seldom seen playing his Sady.
