Another rock and roll bassist/singer gone. Died last night in Germany at 61 years old. All I can say is that "Vincebus Eruptum" is an awesomely heavy album and if you haven't heard it you should listen to it. RIP, Dickie. |

I saw the Cheer a year or two back and had the opportunity to meet Dickie and talk bass gear with him. He was using an old Traynor rig at that show, said he used SVTs for years but the Traynor was closer to his early Marshall stack sound. Very approachable dude.
