Ingrid Pastorius, wife of the late, great Jaco, and mom of their twin sons, Julius and Felix, has passed away. Just read about it on her Facebook page.

I don't have any details - didn't know that she was ailing.

Always sad to read this kind of thing. My guess that if Jaco would be coming up on his 60th...she was probably close in age and waaay too young. My heartfelt regards to the family, as the loss of a mother is never easy

Ingrid Pastorius, who was married to virtuoso electric bassist Jaco Pastorius between 1979 and 1985, died on Monday from complications following an aortic aneurysm, according to a source close to the family. She was 61.

Just heard about it yesterday. very sad.
I met with Ingrid briefly about 4 years ago when I lived in Fort Lauderdale.
I met her at Alligator Alley blues club watching her son Julius playing. And told her how Jaco touched my soul forever with his playing
