RIP Wayman Tisdale

Just got the news today that Wayman Tisdale had passed away due to Cancer. For me this is something of a shock because Wayman was I think my favorite Bassist. I know everybody loves Victor and Marcus and so do I. I think the thing about music your Bass or whatever you have or do. Theres some one or something that speaks to you in a certain way. I respected Wayman as a man a bassist and as someone who was trying to walk the right path. I can remember where I was and exactly what I was doing the day that Jaco was killed and that too was a sad day. I tell my students "I don't want you to play like me. I just want you to take waht I give you and become your own person/player with your own style. I know that I learned a lot from listening to Wayman and I thank him for it! Many Blessings to Wayman and his family. http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Musi...ion=cnn_latest

There is already a thread on this, but there will never be enough. He was an awesome player, very inspiring.

My dad keeps talking about watching him play when he was younger, as he is the same age as my dad. It also has him thinking anything can happen..

RIP man, you will be missed.

This is heartbreaking! I know it may not seem like much, but the man was blessed to have tremendous success in everything he tried in life. That is way more than most of us will ever be able to say no matter how long we live.
