I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned or this is the right place to make this thread so feel free to lock this if needed. To anyone who is into the whole youtube music/rock covers community, an amazing bass player known as zodiakironfist was lost on january 5th, 2010. He was an inspiration to many who watched his videos. He was a self-claimed musical nobody, but that never stopped him from enjoying himself and playing the music he loved. I encourage everyone to check out his youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/zodiakironfist?blend=1&ob=4

He was an amazing and inspirational bass player who was well known and respected in the youtube music community. He added a little piece of himself to every song he played. RIP man, you won't be forgotten.

Sad, sad, sad.

I've sat & watched his videos on Youtube over & over as if it was all one big movie. He really seemed to enjoy playing; it comes through in the videos.

Respect.

WHAT? THIS CAN'T BE TRUE! He had a wonderful Rickenbacker tone. We exchanged some PMs and comments on YouTube a while back. This has been like dumping a bucket of cold water over my head. R.I.P. Rob.

Damn. I loved watching his vids. He had an awesome attitude and was so much fun to watch play. He's the major reason I have a Schecter Stiletto right now. Sad, sad day.

R.I.P. Rob
You will be missed.

RIP Rob.

You were such an inspiration for bass players everywhere, and you reminded us it should always be fun.

After following his videos he made me pull the trigger and save up for my now proudly owned Rickenbacker, I'll think of him when I play it, 38 no age at all

Just found out about this guy and became pretty bummed after enjoying a bunch of his videos, to then find out he passed. I don't think I've ever seen someone so in tune and natural with their instrument, Rob will always be a legend in my eyes and the things he did to all those covers, well, I wouldn't even call them mere covers as much as interpretations, and he wrecked (in a good way) every song he recorded and posted for us.

R.I.P. Rob,
Sorry I couldn't have jumped on the train earlier.
