You can really tell from some of these things that Rob is giving it his all.

I saw him live at Download Festival and his playing blew my mind

I don't know why, but I gotta say, that was, "adorable"

I really think it was nice though, because that speaks a lot to Metallica's (and metal in generals) past. No matter how kVlt we get as a metal crowd, we can all almost relate to early metallica in the metal community. Ask almost any "metal kid" what bands got them into Metal, most wil say "Metallica." And nobody (who likes metal) can deny that Master of Puppets is a ****ing masterpiece.

It's also cool, because Rob is another disciple of Cliff, just like Jason was. They both ****ing idolized Cliff's metal playing, and they both had a shot sitting in Cliff's spot.

It's... adorable, like I said.
