anyone know where he gets that incredible growly sound from?, I vaguely remember hearing years ago he had an Acoustic 360 but I don't know for sure. One of the greatest and most distinctive bass sounds ever recorded IMHO...

I think I remember reading he uses an Ampeg SVT and 8x10 cab for amplification. As far as his tone, he said he goes for that Lemmy sound.. real midrangey and guitar-like.
