He's always been a favorite of mine. I think he's totally underrated as a player and songwriter. His basslines fit so well within the context of the song most people don't really notice what he's doing unless they really listen.

Man he is good... I listened to STP for years before playing bass and didn't realize how good until I started in on Interstate Love Song.

I'm a HUGE fan of his. My playing is heavily influenced by him, and through him I've dug deeper in Jamerson's stuff, which will make anyone a better player. His tone, his playing, and his badass stage persona....dude rules!

One of my all time favorites!!! Killer groove, killer lines, killer tone, awesome song writer!! Dude is just the full package. The tone on the new album blows me away. So fat and sits in the mix so perfect. You can really learn a lot from his playing too. I don't listen to a lot of rock. But when STP comes on that **** gets turned UP!

Forgot to mention that the Spector Js and PJs are pretty much his very own creation. He worked there for a long time and basically designed those models. And they're damn fine basses for the money.

Schecter. He worked there before STP got big, and yea, his Model T Bass was a prototype he thought up while employed. I know before they made him Model T's he used those Schecter Jazz basses. Did he have a hand in the creation of those as well?
