ok, so I don't want to offend anyone, but I was wondering how can money help him in this situation? I mean you can't just go to a shop and buy a liver, there should be a donor first, or does he have to pay for the operation and treatment himself or something like that? in the Netherlands the insurance takes care of it all, and you most of the time don't have to pay a thing.

When Chuck Schuldiner of Death had cancer he had to pay for most of the treatment himself, is it the same case with Rocco?

Anyway I hope he will find/get a donor liver soon, too many great bassplayers have been dying lately, we don't want to lose another one.....

I was actually thinking the same thing when I saw this fund.

also, 300.000 dollars? it can't cost THAT much!

and I thought TOP would have some money (maybe not alot, but enough) to help him...

anyway, I hope he gets better soon. Rocco is one of my favorite bassist. (so was entwistle )

The $300,000 is to take care of expenses over the entire recovery period of up to a year along with the surgery. TOP is still paying his salary to him and SWR is helping out monthly. He's been in and out of the hospital alot so his current medical bills must be overwhelming.

ok, folks- update:
i love this country, but sometimes... the legalities do not allow me to "raffle" the bass away- i never thought of it as a raffle- i never sold any tix or the like, .. its a long story- so i will donate the bass , which will be autographed by Rocco- and auctioned at ebay by the TRUST - since i said what i said a couple of days go- i will do this.. if you donated $50 and you did it because you might win the bass.. send me your receipt and ill give you a set of strings.. free. Be honest, Send your receipts dated for the last 3 days to Access-Bass 7956 W Quail Ave. Las vegas, NV 89113 - thanks for helping Rocco - the bass will be on their site soon-- peace!- Adrian
