Rocco Prestia workshop

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

had a lovely afternoon today. Half an hour from my home, a bass store had organized a workshop with Rocco Prestia. What a nice guy! It was just he and his bass and an amp, and maybe 60 people or so in one room. We could ask whatever questions we had and he answered them patiently. Really nice to see how straightforward his playing technique actually is. Lots of dampening with 3rd and 4th (left hand) fingers while fretting with the 1st or 2nd. Apart from that, just plain bass playing. And, as you often hear from unique music personalities, his style just "happened" to him. Go see him if you get the chance!

Cool! Didn't know they were back from their European tour already.

A Prestia clinic was attempted to be arranged here on Maui, but lack of interest kept it from happening

Last night my band took up "What Is Hip?"... fun song. Always wanted to perform it. Doing bass and vox, so I'm busy.
