Ronnie Lane VH1 Faces BBC Comcert

I just watched for the 3rd time this amazing video....Ronnie Lane plays amazing bass/ He really makes the Faces funky. His bass lines against Kenny Jones's square drumming makes the groove.

If you have not seen this video, I highly recommend it. Some of the concert is on the "5 Guys Walk Inoto A Bar" compilation.

Anyone know what Ampeg amp he was playing through....

Yeah - I LOVE the tone on that footage. It's the Zematis through what I THINK is a Magnavox era B15....

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Ronnie Lane also used a jazz bass, but what a creative original player he was - I've always loved his great ideas, sense of humour and originality.
