I'm surprised this guy gets almost no mention here.

I was watching the 2nd disk of the Can DVD, and Can had Rosko Gee move onto bass duties when their original bassist went over to sound-effects duties.

Check out his playing on these two tracks. He really locks in with their drummer, and he can play!

Can live 1977 one.

Can live 1977 two.

I understand this guy was in a later lineup of Traffic as well.

+1, man, ever since I saw that DVD I've been very impressed with that smooth rubbery tone that he got out of that Jazz. Great stage presense, too. Suzuki-era Can is some of the most interesting rock(ish) music that I've ever heard (Ege Bamyasi and Future Days especially).

Thanks, I've never seen that version of "dizzy dizzy". The "don't say no" video put Roskoe Gee on my radar and imho is the best version of any Can song that I have heard. It looks like he was having a ball playing with em. Nowadays, I guess he's part of some german tv show's house band.
