Ross Valory underrated??

I was just watching the new Journey DVD with their new singer, and I think Ross Valory is underrated. He has great tone, and a style all his own. Also, he plays a Stingray, which is a big plus.

Most on TB give him respect, so I don't believe he is underrated....although even I must admit I am not much for his new Stingray tone.

Not a fan of that new Stingray tone either, but Ross is the man

I just mean underrated in general. However, I happen to love his new Stingray tone.

Can't say I've listened to Journey since, well, maybe the 6th grade? But I do give him props for this:

The T-40 was my first bass, and still sits with pride in my music room. I was actually playing it tonight, & listening to some old tunes.

Great player..... but I too am not enamoured with his Stingray/Ampeg tone...

In recent times - his Curbow/Eden sounded better...
