I thought I'd share this link with all of my fellow Mute Math fans...

It has some video footage of him playing a couple of Mute Math tunes, discussing his pedal board, and talking about roundwound vs. flatwound strings.

IMHO, this is one of the few bands that you should really go see live. I saw them on October 30th when they came through Houston. Incredible performance. Roy also does some really cool stuff with bass synth (microKorg, I believe) and his upright, on which he uses p-bass pickups located right below the neck.

I remember seeing these videos a while back. There used to be more videos up covering a range of other topics, including one where he explained the stories and facts behind each of his basses that I thought was really cool.

I love how he keeps his pedalboard simple and uses tasteful delay effects. Have to love the grooves he lays down with them.

In my opinion, he is hands down one of the most underrated and creative bass players out there today. Definitely a huge influence on my playing. I love catching their shows whenever they're in town.
