Wow,
I saw Rush last night for the second time in a year and I am speechless. Geddy Lee is a God. If anyone has a chance to go I suggest you do! They still put on an amazing show and sold out the arena. I was sad they took out Entre Nous from the setlist but they added Red Barchetta. Geddy played a solo with his Jaco bass and it was so fast and awesome. Im not sure how I feel about the new stuff, I like it, but its different. It kicked butt!!!!

4 hour musical orgasm.
it was interesting it seemed all the necks on his basses are from his sig series. anyone shed any light on that? even on his normal black one the body looks like his 70s one but the neck is new |

About geddies necks. . . I have heard that the original neck is no longer on his main bass. I don't think he uses any of the CIJ basses/necks from his custome line. I think it is all Fender Custom Shop stuff but I could be wrong.
PS: That "solo" on the Jaco bass is actually the song "Malignant Narcissism" from the S&A album.

the appeared to be CIJ necks to me they has his sig on the back of the head stock, he turned to say somthing to neal and I saw it. he had a few his main black one, a sunburst one, a red CS, and broke out his Ric too!!!

I thoguht they would being going for much much more. Since I didn't have to drive to Seattle for the show like the last two I spent the money for the good seats.
I will be keeping a close eye on his basses, I can't wait to see his Rick up close. . . Althoguh I have one but it's not Geddies so it's not the same. Ohhhh and I will actually get to see his hands instead of watching a freaking video screen of it from the nosebleads.

Yeah I seriously doubt he uses CIJ necks....I liked the red one. I wish he would bust out the double neck

| | | | His old 70s jazz bass's neck is trashed. He stuck one of his signature model necks onto it. So original black jazz bass + new CIJ neck. |

I wear I saw an interview where he said all his basses are CS stuff.
Would be interesting if he uses the signature model though, if it's good enough from him it's good enough for me!

Yeah, I knew that. I was just referring to his spare black ons.
Thanks for th link, he uses the CIJ neck on his 70's bass but the finish is sanded off of and the tuners are replaced. I belive these changes are going to be made to his signature line sometime in the future.
Ooo at right at the end of the interview he was showing his back-up black/maple neck bass and said it was a custom shop version Quote: |

| Yeah same as the 2007 leg of the tour. Once is still better than not seeing it at all

Yeah same as the 2007 leg of the tour. Once is still better than not seeing it at all | I don't get why people make signature instruments if they are not going to use it. And I don't get the Geddy Lee Jazz Bass at all. It is just an early 70s reissue with a badass bridge. They probably made it just for $$$. |

As a 21 year old who almost exclusively listens to classic rock, seeing Rush was a dream come true, as I will never have the chance to see many of my favorite bands.
They were sooooo amazing! Not sure if the setup of the stage was the same every show they played, but in Orlando there was this really really strange set up behind Geddy that was full of roasting chickens or something...there was a chef looking guy who periodically came on stage to maintain them. LOL, can anyone shed some light on this for me?
