Rush Time Machine live CD. Great Geddy tone!!

I've just bought the Rush Time Machine Live CD on iTunes.
Listened roughly through it. I must say, Geddy's tone on that Cleveland live show is very to my liking. More ballsy, less trebly then live in Rio. Also better then Different Stages live which was my favorite Jazz tone on a live CD. Is it due to less OD, or is is due to the Orange AD200 heads which are used in Geddy's tone chain? I do not know, but there is some more warmth to his tone on this show.
I'm impressed by these old dudes, they still put up great performance.

I need both!!, audio and video,
I've all Rush live CD's, I like to listen to Geddy's tone on both bass and vocals as they spanned over such a remarkable career.

I saw Rush in Glasgow in may and I thought Geddys tone was amazing.
I'm waiting for both the Blu ray and the cd to be delivered. Can't wait.

I think the Orange amps brought the warmth back which sounded great.

It just goes to show you can't please everyone all the time - I've just listened to it and I think the whole thing sounds terrible. Compressed, lifeless, echoey...

I hope the Blu-Ray is better...

The warmth from (maybe) the Orange is what I've noticed compares to the other live cd's of Geddy playing the Jazz., thus R30, Snakes and arrows live, live in Rio and Different Stages live. In some songs he maybe lost some definition or clarity to the tone, which also might be from the Orange AD200. But any way, nice playing by Rush.

The playing is great, and Geddy's tone is pretty nice on some tunes, but I agree with water, two posts above me, that the sound as a whole is pretty bad.

When I listen the total sound picture of the shows of Rush and other major bands which performed in the last years in big arenas, such as The Police and Genesis, I will tend to agree that Rush does not have the best and most clear sound. But Gensis was always a band which sett the standard regarding live stage and live tone. The Genesis live in Roma is amazing arrangement. Circus Maximius is 800m long and can contain up to 400000 people!

Yeah.. the guitar (and particularly) the bass sound better then they've done on any Rush release in years, but it's spoiled by the compression and over-baked ambience.
