A friend of mine got me these two DVDs of a russian band called Aria and i quite liked them despite not being able to understand a word they say. They sound a bit like Iron Maiden and are mildly heavy. The two guitarists are great, have a very good stage presence and use various playing techniques (tapping , an occasional sweep etc) and thair bassist plays a standad Fender P with what seems to be EMGs. I was just wondering if you've heard of this band...If you have an opportunity get those DVDs, they're called something like Baptism of Fire or something bog standrad...Anyways, all the best to you fellow bassists... |
