Ok one more thrift store find to brag about, then I'll shut my piehole. I found Red Giant's extremely rare first album Psychoblaster and the Misuse of Power at Goodwill. That one was never even officially released. I didn't know it existed until I found it. I thought "This can't be the same Red Giant, this is from 1995." But there was the gas mask dude and the back of the cd said the music was "Space Punk". "Yeah, it's the same Red Giant".

I am friends with red giant's guitar player (on facebook)*. I was as surprised to learn how long they were together. Great iron snake, is new band.

I will likely replace the Iron Pig with Volt Thrower, add in the new compressor design I have coming up, and possibly swap in the Bass OCD. Depends on how it all sounds. Also the dual dist pedal I have coming up. I will try them out, see what I like

Ahahaha, they are all excited that you found it at Goodwill. Pretty rad.

Anyways, the other band that would have been headlining the 02/01 show, can't make it. I have to trust that the promoter will get something relatively soon. We are almost 3 weeks out and no solid line-up.

The show on the 19th still has no venue, but thats what you get with DIY.

Oh yeah...

First I set it up like this...

Then that acoustic stack inspired me, 3 tier horizontal stack...

we didn't both have band shirts on (band shirts are required for stoner/doom shows) so it was either not be as awesome or NO SHIRTS. i need to order a bunch of tb stoner/doom shirts in order to keep myself clothed on stage.

The PB&J isn't as abundant over here, but I know a few who swear by it. I'm always a crunchy PB person, and good old raspberry jam on white bread. Butter/margarine is a waste of time.

We do the old flannel occasionally. Works well in winter.

Laz, would you be mad if I liked that more than your main rig? Ashdown has been a secret love of mine, but I never owned any...so sexy...

if you had the endorsement to beg for or the cash to burn, Ashdown would make an absolutely sick current-production doom rig. i'd probably rate it above ampeg even.

their 15s are **** but man do their 4x10 and 8x10 ABM series sound amazing.

I wouldn't be mad. Just keep in mind I'd need about... 8 of these mini rigs? To compete with my current rig haha. It does look sexy as hell though, doesn't it? I've always found Ashdown incredibly aesthetically pleasing.

Lol. Noted. It would end up looking like a phil jones setup, but larger sized.

Man... When I was like, twelve, I had a PB and Marshmallow cream sandwich and a friends house. I convinced my parents to get a jar of Marshmallow Cream. I got it home, ate TWO sandwiches of the stuff, and later that night woke up and threw it all up. Yeah... That was that last time I mixed anything with Marshmallow Cream. When I see that, I have the same reaction that some people have with an alcohol that has done someone wrong.
