I picked up some Pigtronix pedals recently for guitar and decided to do a little demo of the Aria, with both guitar and bass. It's has a very fuzz feel to it at higher gain settings. I ended up using my Strat and Ray34CA for it, but I think it sounds better with a humbucker loaded guitar and a passive bass. I'll probably do another one with Les Paul and Precision when I get some free time.

And another band in my Spotify Library that I might have time to listen to before I'm 60.

They were better with Andy in the band but they still sound pretty good.

i have seen them with and without Andy. Interestingly both times they had to cut their set short due to equipment malfunction, Andy broke both his main and backup guitars, and recently their bass players Superbass **** itself before the last song.

I have extreme distaste for gear malfunctions like that. I know a simple malfunction can happen to anyone, but when I see someone go through multiple rigs in a single set it turns me off.

That said there was this one local show where the first 20 seconds were horrible, as the guitar player's marshal head was set to suck. After those 20 seconds the amp went up in smoke and he switched to the bass players back up amp, an old Peavey PA head. Sounded fantastic with his pedals driving it and I enjoyed the rest of the show. After the show I heard him lamenting that he would have to play their next couple of gigs with the Peavey, I felt so inclined to tell him to keep using it as it sounded much better than his marshall.

I was really excited when the first Black Pyramid came out, then burned out on them pretty fast. I have the demos/splits comp and II, but neither do that much for me. I think if they cut 2-3 songs from II it would be much better.

I am interested to hear new material w/ Darryl. Also, him and Gein have a new band called Scimitar, which is going to take focus over the next year because BP's drummer won't be able to commit a lot of time. I think it has potential.

Did you end up trading for that or buying one outright? I've been considering a huge crazy delay contraption lately. My Tech 21 Boost DLA works great for just a straight ahead analog delay with a little modulation, but I have so many dirt pedals (and they're still coming) I'm starting to think about upping the ante on my psychedelic freakout boxes. I was just watching a head to head with the Timeline and the Pigtronix Echolution the other day.

So, here's a new song we just finished. Recording is kinda boomy/muddy but you get the idea. The ending is epic as fvck.
