*edit* Looking back through pics he only used Ric's so it's probably not him, maybe one of the many Pentagram bassists though.

When I'm doing manual labor, jeans and tshirts. When I'm in the office or doing sales calls it's usually either a button up shirt, no tie, slacks and dress shoes or maybe the same nice jeans (black or dark blue that aren't faded or worn at all) and sneakers. If I'm calling on architects or really rich home owners or something I dress nicer, if I'm going out to job sites to talk to contractors or something, presentable but not dressy. It's kind of a PITA honestly, because a lot of this business is anticipating someone's prejudice until they know you know what you're doing. When I just used to do production work all the time I wore jeans or shorts and band shirts.

I ask this because last night while doing the dishes I put on an album I hadn't heard in awhile and I got thinking, man this record has some really tastey grooves. Why isn't this band considered stoner rock? maybe they are... Hell, I consider them to have stoner rock tendencies based on the record I own (heard the later albums got away from the style of the first couple records so didn't pursue them.) The band I am talking about by the way, is CKY and the record I own by them is Volume 1. And I don't care what anyone else says, that record is chock full of stoner riffs.
Anyone else have a band they like that is heavy but maybe not apart of the whole Stoner/Doom thing? (don't say Torche, or Baroness, or Jucifer because they always tour/play with with stoner bands) | Volume 1 is an excellent album. I haven't heard it in forever. Gonna throw it on now. |

Then I realized I'm used to seeing Nick's pedal gut shots and my buddy's who made a bunch of my clones, who both do insanely clean wiring with all these right angle bends and perfectly clean solder joints.

I would very much like to hear some sound clips of how people use delay in a band setting. it's the one effect I never can find a suitable place for with my band (which plays d-beat/crust, by the way). |
