After much experimentation, the 370 with the big block bass needs only a delay. Naked pedal board go!
The passive p is good with pedals. I think I'm going to set up a board just for this into my GK. Only thing is, all the tones I dial in sound alike. The pedal doesn't really matter.
For delays - mxr carbon copy or memory toy. I was looking at rondo pedal boards. Does anyone have an opinion on them? |

I love my new 415+218 stack but if I try a dually and my experience is on par with most good experiences, Id be stupid not to switch to one cab that can do the job of 2 or even 3 cabs.
I use both fingers and picks. Ive been really working on my right hand technique lately, Im a firm believer in most of your tone is in your fingers.
Aron, I honesty dont remember I think mine was pretty quick because I ordered it at like 1 or 2 in the afternoon, it got shipped out the same day.

If i was in a more 70's or stoner/psych oriented band I'd probably use fingers exclusively, but for super-distorted, aggressive heaviness I'm finding that I like the pick better. | Yeah, effects make a huge difference. I'm not using any at all right now (just a pleasant warm OD from my pre tubes) and my finger style really sticks out. When I dig in and let the strings bounce off the frets a touch some really great tone comes out.

I ordered the Dually because I wanted a loud cab to use when I don't have my 810, that won't break my back to move. Not replacing anything or claiming it's the best thing ever, no worries. I would totally win a pudding contest though.

Welcome back dead. So many unfamiliar names in here...
I played fingers only for 15 yrs. just started using a pick a year or two ago. Was just like falling off a bike...

Since I joined Necro Naught i've worked exclusively on finger style. The three finger technique has gotten lots better, but I miss the pick tone sometimes. Can't wait til my daughter gets older so I can put enough time into practice to manage both to competence.
Just fingers has opened me up to a whole world of textures I use for dynamics and flair that i'm sure only I notice. Keeps me wanting to practice even if i'm not completely inspired by my tone. |

6 Pos Rotary to select low end cut off on the clipping circuit, everything from classic Ross Dist and OCD tight clipping to approaching RAT esque levels of low end clipping. 2 band EQ, Baxandall, for boosting the post clipping low end to adjust clipping low end. Selectable LED and MOSFET (stock OCD clipping method) clippers. Can run from 18V if need be. Most likely fit into a 1590BB. |

Or sometimes just a fast thing alternating top and bottom of my pointer finger. Shamelessly stolen from cliff burton. Brian Beller used pointer and middle finger to do this.

Got really good with fingers and never felt comfortable with a pick. While I definitely love the sound of an overdriven bass tone with a pick, for myself I always prefer finger style. I have excellent right hand technique and get a lot of dynamics and tone changes using my fingers. I can play finger style anything someone else can play pick style so I just don't bother with picks. |

It's not the same obviously, but I get the snap of a pick if I come down with my tips instead of using the pads of my fingers. Been accused of being a "pick player" when people've heard recordings of me. |
