Supposedly Steve Harris uses them, though. I think his are EV's. | Pretty sure he uses the EVM 12L. (Hint Ron). |

I play mostly finger style. I can play faster that way. I like how the pick attack sounds, though. I've been practicing picking. Up down up down for large chunks of time is meditative. And lots of black sunshine. |

Not sure about Eminence's 12" kappalites...
Both the eminence are $100 per speaker & Sica are $200 per speaker.
The eminence are 500 watts per speaker, sica is 350 watts per speaker.
Price is important but so is tone & power. | I use eminence delta pro 12a's with great success, they have more top end then most other bass 12's with great low end as well. Their 400w and supposedly eminence clones of the EVM 12L's.

Balls. Which neo 12s? Eminence has too many Dan speakers. |

CD launch last night was a blast, don't think I've managed to play that drunk ever - but we pulled it off. Got some wicked left forearm cramps part way through the second song that plagued me for the rest of the set. Issues with fretting hand was not fun.
Cordless unit was a winner, nothing better than getting down with the headbangers in the front row and joining in - and getting someone force feed you a pint of cider while smashing through our fastest song.
Good old networking after the gig though - landed an invite for bass jobs in a grindcore band, a grunge/stoner band and a Rush jam session!
I've been a pick player as I converted from the shorter 6 stringed instrument, don't quite have the co-ordination with my fingers to pull it off properly. I like my pick tone though and I can vary the sound so it doesn't worry me too much.
