Pretty sure he uses the EVM 12L. (Hint Ron).

When I eventually get around to putting speakers in that cab I will definitely keep that in mind.

"Our bass cabs are internally braced with corner braces and a 2x2 heart. We use a hybrid port system that combines the best of both shelf and hole systems. We usually don't baffle the cabs as a tone preference, but its easy to put insulation in afterwards if you so desire. 4x12 dimensions (48"T x 26"W x 16"D)" Olde Crow Cabs.

That's what I thought, but I wasn't quite sure. I think he puts them in Marshall 1960B cabs or something like that.

I use Eminence neo 12s and I like them with a 4x10 also neos. It is a well balance sound to my ears.

I play mostly finger style. I can play faster that way. I like how the pick attack sounds, though. I've been practicing picking. Up down up down for large chunks of time is meditative. And lots of black sunshine.

Not sure about Eminence's 12" kappalites...

Both the eminence are $100 per speaker & Sica are $200 per speaker.
The eminence are 500 watts per speaker, sica is 350 watts per speaker.
Price is important but so is tone & power.
I use eminence delta pro 12a's with great success, they have more top end then most other bass 12's with great low end as well. Their 400w and supposedly eminence clones of the EVM 12L's.

You made me go listen to it. I love that bass line/sound.

Balls. Which neo 12s? Eminence has too many Dan speakers.

For the past couple of weeks I've been playing my yba-3 through my custom made 4x10 1x15, the head has recently been restored with all nre power and pre amp tubes, before I was running my head through a sunn 2x15 and had only burnt a fuse once, over the course of a couple months, now that I've been using my 4x10 1x15 I blew 2 maybe 3, I've also recently added a boss odb-3 pedal to my rigg and my drummer thinks its pushing my head to hard and burning the fuse, I can generally play for a while for example both of the last times it blew I was turning off my OD, I was hoping someone could give me some advice.

Your head should not be frequently burning out fuses. I think it's time to take it to a tech.

Now that I've rejoined the land of the living...
CD launch last night was a blast, don't think I've managed to play that drunk ever - but we pulled it off. Got some wicked left forearm cramps part way through the second song that plagued me for the rest of the set. Issues with fretting hand was not fun.
Cordless unit was a winner, nothing better than getting down with the headbangers in the front row and joining in - and getting someone force feed you a pint of cider while smashing through our fastest song.

Good old networking after the gig though - landed an invite for bass jobs in a grindcore band, a grunge/stoner band and a Rush jam session!

I've been a pick player as I converted from the shorter 6 stringed instrument, don't quite have the co-ordination with my fingers to pull it off properly. I like my pick tone though and I can vary the sound so it doesn't worry me too much.

I thought four 8ohm speakers= 8ohm cab if you wire it that way?

I've got a bunch of blown KT88's and 6550 kicking around if you want them. Let me know.
