Re: 12" speakers. I have an OS 212 Emperor loaded with Delta Pro's Awesome sounding cab. I recall that the speakers have a fairly high sensitivity rating, and it's a loud cab for sure. Rich with lots of punch. I play with the highs rolled off on the amp though, for whatever that's worth.
This is exactly what I'm using as well, mine is ported though. It's definitely the loudest 2x12 I've ever played for bass. I eventually want to add on an 18 for more low end frequency response, the 12a's get low but not as much sub-low as I crave.

The cabs are ported. Paired with an OS 115, loaded w/ Kappa Pro 15 LF
pic for reference:
The port on the 212 is at pickup level, and standing in front of the cab produces the thickest controlled feedback I've ever had.

You using emperor cabs for bass? I've heard alot of downsides to emperor's bass cabs. Not well tuned, braced, or baffled. Shake themselves of stage. Maybe they're better now?

Since they can be total custom, I think there are some variables to that...

What are you thinking Mark? Mixing drivers?!? Using inefficient cab design, how un-Doom of you! /smug
Also because of the song you posted awhile back I've been on a Craft kick, can't explain why either.
You can hear how the modded JDI with the speaker sim is not as boxy sounding, with deeper lows and more rounded highs than the stock. it is more prevalent in the dirty clips with the bluebeard.
To each his own. Id just written emperor off after reading so many lackluster reviews. And Ron's take on them. If I'm gonna shell out the big bucks for a custom made cab I want it to sound awesome and last. I wasn't critiquing his choice. I was asking his thoughts and experience.
Dry eyes. Can't read. Can't type. Seriously going to sleep. Look forward to the new thread.
If you are considering neo's look at the 3012 HO's and those faital pro speakers I links before.

IDK about previous stuff, so I can't comment to that. My only real experience in bass stuff,( I am fairly new to the bass in a band thing), is a Fender 215, and I have in the past owned a mid 70's svt810 and some swr stuff...I can say that these cabs sound better than any of that. IDK what's inside, have never opened them. But I can say that they are solid, no rattles, weirdness and have a beautiful sound. I make the f*ckers hum, they shake the building and mine don't scoot around. Another upside is that they are reasonable light,I can lift both by myself.

Exactly. What works for some , may not work for others. No majick formula. These do sound awesome, and I have no reason to think they wont last. I sure as f*ck hope they do last, cuz I like them.
