OH NOOOO!!!! I know he had some health problems that caused him to lose his legs but the last time I heard he was doing good. What happened?

Wow. I'm very sorry to hear this. He seemed like a very nice guy, and so talented in so many ways.

He was on the Tavis Smiley show a little while back and was sounding healthy. It's a shame it came back so quickly.

There's a cool version of Barry White's "Never Gonna Give you up" on his latest album with Toby Keith on vocals!

The World has lost a great man. I saw him play on the court as a Indiana Pacer and loved listening to him as a fellow bassists.

He is keeping the Groove now with King David

RIP W.T. are prayers are with your family

Wow, this came as a shock...I didn't realize he was battling cancer. Terrible news. I will say that I'm inspired by people who live life so fully the way that Wayman seemed to do...and every photo I've ever seen of him he had a great big smile on his face. Best to his family and friends.

This sucks so hard. His spirits were so high in spite of what was going on. Huge loss.

A gentleman and a gentle man.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
And let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen

Tisdale

I had the good fortune of attending a Wayman Tisdale clinic at Bass day NYC a few years back. He was interviewed by Chris Jisi. He was playing a Tobias / GK rig. He was a huge guy..towered over Chris Jisi and the bass looked like a toy around his neck..The clinic was great - some great playing and good exchanges with Chris.. I have a picture that I will post later today..

What a shame..RIP WT
