These guys rock. You can find much information about them and their bass player on the net. They all met in Berklee, I believe. He does a lot of studio work. I'm chiming in to suggest that you also check out The Clients Funk Society, now known simply as The Clients. They are in the same vein, only I think they're better. The Clients are a funk band out of Switzerland but you can easily find them on American iTunes. Check out the albums, "Reloaded," "Olten" and "Dr. Watson, 2nd Edition." Enjoy.

Thank you so much for the recommendation. I guess I wasn't with the right guys when I went to Berklee.

I believe I read an article which suggested that bassist Erick Coomes is a southern California resident and a proud friend of Mary Jane. I could be wrong. Easily. I know for a fact that his chops are excellent and the music he works on rocks.

Also, T, some of the Lettuce guys are in Soulive. Maybe give them a check, too.

In answer to your original question, I don't know squat about his gear.
