I like this guy. He got some cool bass riffs, and probably the most consistent in Limp Bizkit.
I like how he usually pitch-bend stuff like in "Stuck".
and people usually say the riff from "The Truth" is superb.
He always finger though, occasionally use pick live for some songs(Re-Arranged i think).
I did not know about bass much(just start) so i don't whether he counts as a good bassist or not, and also correct me if i'm wrong. |

| | | | he's got some groove! too bad fred durst sucks a lot of the life and potential out of that band (my opinion, though).

| | | | I know some people hate Bizkit, just because they are Bizkit and one of the most uncoventional metal band around.
Anyway, i think the guy that is also good is Sam Rivers' cousin who is the drummer, that guy is super groovy.
for me Fred Durst is not that bad, he is a good rapper rhythmically, but not lyricallyand he is an egomaniac. |

im used to seeing him with the warwick. corvette i think. with light-up leds | I think he is like Fieldy. Sound, style and gear wise.
I've seen John and Sam jam at their early show back in 97. They can play. |

It's a shame Fred sucks. Cause the rest of the band is just awesome.
Does anyone know what bass he's rockin on that album - very unique sound. Thwappy growl (whatever.)

Yeah I thought he was very melodic and groovey considering the stylistic constraints of the band. John Otto the drummer will have a career in music long after Limp Bizkit is done. Fred... not so much.
