Saw Bakithi Kamalo in Brooklyn Last Saturday

Saw Bakithi Kamalo (Paul Simon, Hugh Masekela) in a spot in Brooklyn called Madeva's (a South African Restaurant). I believe that the entire band backed Simon.

Anyway, Bakithi Kamalo was amazing. Excuse my ignorance with this, but Bakithi was droppin' sharp and flat harmonics (UNREAL!!!!). Can you get sharps and flats in harmonics without retuning???? Just asking.

Oh, yeah, looked like he had a Lakeland 5. Fretted bass sounded fretless!!!! Peace.

One of my all-time favorites. I'm jealous!
He is an amazing musician. Glad he's still going at it.
