Saw Rise Against last night

I saw these dudes from Chicago for the third time last night, it was awesome. Joe has a really great distorted P-bass tone. Plus he was playing a bass that was identical to my P (Tort on Sunburt), which is always cool to see. One of the best punk bassists in my opinion. Anyone else a fan?

p.s. Crowd surfed for the first time, I felt so dirty afterwards, but I recommend it.

I really like Joes tine, and I really like the band. He used a E-Bow for one of the Bridges on the new album. I think he gets it by Running his Big Block 750 and a Sans Amp and blend the two distorted channels toghther but i really dont know, he also used a Ampeg SVT and a Marshall JCM900 for the record and his bass was a Fender american Vintage '57 RI. Great Bass but I will probably be never able to afford one

I haven't heard the new cd, but on the old ones, his tone always struck me as pure picked Jazz bass. Anyways, sick player with a good sense of melody for a band that rocks as hard as Rise Against does.

Yeah i was suprised he switched to the P-bass as he did use a '70s jazz on the last record. and yes most of their songs if not all are a half step down
