Even through the challenged acoustics of the Nassau Coliseum,the band sounded great. Was hoping to hear more from Paul Denman, but it seems that since the newer material (last two albums) is more stripped down than the earlier material, the bass lines have become less prominent. Nevertheless, Paul did break out the Stingray for the older songs and sounded great as did the entire band as usual. Sade herself looked sounded amazing as always, so no complaints at all. Was a great mix of music and just enough choreography/lighting/backdrops for an awesome show. Hopefully it won't be another 10 years before they record/tour again. Truly a class act. |
