My first time seeing the band. Can wait to see them again. A great show. Rocco and David Garibaldi just killed all night. I don't know how Rocco keep pumping out those 16th notes. We have similar economy of the right hand but he just keeps going. |

A bunch of us met and ate dinner across the street. TOP was hanging out in the same place. Kind of cool to walk in and see Rocco sitting at a table. |

I'm off to tonight's show with my guitar playing buddy and our better halves (this was a Christmas present from my lady). Like most of us old guys, I've been a huge fan of Rocco and TOP since I first heard their recordings in the early 70's. Now I get to see and hear them up close!
My buddy has seen them before in T.O., I can't believe they are playing 2 nights in little old Oakville!!

DG and Rocco kept everything pumping, Emilio and the horns were really right on and balanced well. (Rocco looked even smaller than usual behind that honkin' body of his new Conklin signature model!)
The most polished act I've ever seen up close and live in a smaller venue (455 seats). Still my heroes, after 37 years....

They are back in Ontario in July at Casinorama . . . with . . . wait for it . . . Tom Jones! I would think What's New Pussy Cat would the funkiest version ever. Might be worth the trip. Not that I'm a Tom Jones fan or anything.

Great guy and great player, I've probably done hundreds of gigs with him in all sorts of settings. Glad to see all his success, if anyone talks to him at a show tell him 'Andy from Guam' says hello!
I haven't seen them with him in the band yet, but TOP did do a show on Guam probably ten years ago that was smokin. Got to meet and get some pics with Rocco, I was definitely starstruck in his presence. It's incredible that those guys have been together so long and still sound so great. |

... | Mike was very impressive, switching between trumpet, fluegelhorn and valve trombone all in the same tune!! Glad to hear that a "good guy" has had big success.
