Scale the Summit announce new bassist & new tour!

Hey guys...Mark here. I've posted my previous band Tetrafusion here numerous times, but just wanted to post this time to announce that I've joined as the new full-time bassist for Scale the Summit! Incredibly pumped to play with such an incredible band who are well on their way. Jordan was an insane bassist so I have some huge shoes to fill.

Anyway, I filmed a new promo/play-along video for one of their songs, check it out, more to come: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ms0N0TG9GI&sns=em

As I said, we'll be embarking on the second leg of their headlining tour this summer, I hope you guys can make it out!

05/27 Joliet, IL - Mojoe's
05/28 Columbus, OH - Skullys Music Diner
05/29 Pittsburgh, PA - Smiling Moose

I saw the video, very nice playing! I've never dove into Scale the Summit but I've heard songs here and there, it's good stuff! Good luck man! With chops like yours you'll do great!

I loved Horizons, but I hadn't heard of Scale the Summit until now. I guess I'll have to follow you there. Any plans for a European Tour ?

Also lol at that video. Every time I see it it cracks me up!! That was recorded in Jonny Davis' moms living room. Jonny is one of my best friends and he owns Symmetry Studios. He played guitar in a band with Matt, Eyris, that toured with BTBAM and ultimately lead to Matt and Dan hooking up for Trioscapes. Many, many, many drunken nights and jam sessions in that room. Just a funny little story. Congrats again!

I'm a huge scale the summit fan! The collective was actually playing through on my laptop when I saw this thread, ironically enough. The previous bassist had some sweet lines, and a great tone. You've got your work cut out for you! Can't wait to hear how you do on the next album!

You're an awesome bassist, I followed your work in Tetrafusion, and you're a great fit for STS

Thanks for letting me know, I'm a fan of STS's work and I do wonder how you'll complement them. Now I looked up Tetrafusion, I'll have to check out your previous work as well, there's always room for more prog.

One more short new-album preview just posted!! We enter the studio January 2 with producer Jamie King.

I'm using my new Acacia Custom 5-String for one of the clips. As soon as I get some proper pictures I plan to post in the Basses forums, great new company!
