Good to see him working again. I still think he's my favorite Zappa bassist.

I caught the Mother Hips show last night in DC. Thunes was incredible...I was mezmorized all night long. He was playing (shredding) a fretted precision A/E with HUGE rounds. He snapped the G string in one of the early songs and played 3 stringed for quite a few tunes without missing a beat. Lots of FUZZ in his tone. He had two MXR stomps, and equalizer, and a Boss tuner at his feet. I think he was using the house backline..M6 and an Ampeg 4x something.

amazing player!
