Not sure if this is in the right forum, but there's a new movie coming out with Michael Cera as a bassist sporting a nice Rick.

Any other examples of bassists being featured as main characters in movies?

The only other example I can think of immediately is the chick from the anime FLCL, who also brandishes a Rick, albeit more often as a weapon than as a musical instrument.

First thing that comes to my mind is The Rocker w/ that serious hottie who plays the Fender Mustang! Yowza! (easy guys, I'm pretty sure she's of age)

Ooh, directed by Edgar Wright. I definitely want to catch this film. Will be interesting to see a project by him that hasn't had Simon Pegg involved.
